Education
I graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Math Education. I taught in the Broward Schools for over 37 years. In 2002 I was finalist for Broward Teacher of the year. Eight teachers were selected out of 20,000. That same year I was MathCounts coach of the state of Florida. Presently, I am teaching a young man Algebra that is home schooled.
Experience
I am certified in Math, Gifted, Elementary, ESOL and early childhood in the state of Florida. Most of my time was spent teaching Algebra to Gifted and talented 7th grade students. I also taught middle grades math and high school 9th grade math. When I retired in 2011 I took charge of the math tutoring club at Sawgrass Springs Middle School. I used to have around 25 students per week working on 25 different things. My last year at Sawgrass I had 5 perfect scores on the Florida End of the Year Algebra Exam. There are many different tutors on this site. I am a seasoned professional and have worked with children for over 40 years. I know the exams and the material from first hand experience.
