I am Susan, and I live in Boynton Beach, FL. I graduated from Villa Maria College, and Gannon University. I have more than three decades of teaching experience. My extensive experience has given me the ability to easily discover the individual learning styles of each one of my students. I feel that concentrating on their strengths and showing compassion provides greater self-esteem, and lessens the degree of anxiety towards approaching difficult material. I have had time to build competent instruction strategies that have resulted in extensive growth and success for all of my students. I am able to tutor students in reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, public speaking, and English. Though I am most experienced in the areas of language arts, I am also able to assist students in special education and gifted classes. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, cooking, and spending time with friends and family, as well as reading.
